Sandi is a guitarist/producer from Slovenia born in 1990. Music reeled him in at the age of 7, when his dad started to teach him to play piano. Later he also completed the 6 years piano program in school of music.
His sister teached him basic open chords on guitar when he was only a young boy, so his curiosity then picked guitar seriously up at 15. His first love and steps in to guitar world were rock bands like Guns ’n’ Roses, AC/DC and other rocking 80’s bands. At the same time he also learned to play in a Slovenian folk music style called oberkrain. In the same year of 2005 he formed a band with a school mate in high school and played with them until 2009 when they broke up.
Later at age of 19 he left the band and formed a new band called Ansambel Stil. Since then they released two albums that were received really well with slovenian people of all ages. They are kind of a pop/oberkrain, pop/rock mixture of uplifting – good felt music band, that is really popular amongst Slovenian youth. Their songs are all in Slovenian language, and their YouTube view count exceeds 34 million plays in a country with 2 million residents.
In his carrer he also played and helped countless other bands on gigs, studio sessions, and was also an active member of two other pop/rock bands. Sandi also has music studio located in styria region of Slovenia called SanDo studio. In his 15 years of studio session experiences he was present in one way or another in at least 100 projects, may it be as a guitarist, keyboard player, singer or producer/consultant.
